Terapias integrativas no auxílio ao tratamento do Transtorno do Espectro Autista

Resumo: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) has been widely discussed and studied in recent years, affecting the individual's neurological development, and bringing as its main characteristic impairments in speech, non-verbal communication, social relationships, and the field of imagination. Currently, some medications are used to treat some signs and symptoms of ASD, such as atypical antipsychotics and psychostimulants, however these drugs do not treat the individual as a whole and bring several adverse effects, thus harming the patient's quality of life in other aspects. Therefore, the importance of studying and increasingly implementing the use of integrative therapies in conjunction with existing therapies, to obtain a more effective treatment that aims to treat the person in a unique and effective way, having a general improvement in its clinical condition and consequently bringing a better quality of life for the person with ASD and their families. Some of these therapies are music therapy, hydrotherapy, hippotherapy and Bach flower remedies, which can be implemented into the set of treatments designed by a multidisciplinary team that will assess the needs of each patient. Resumo: Introduction: Information on medications is made available to users through the package inserts, accompanied by information that guides their proper use. Review: The methodology for preparing the study took place through bibliographic research of an exploratory nature, which is based on the collection of data that can describe the importance of the package leaflet, and its use and understanding among users through reading. Discussion: According to several authors studied, many users do not read the package inserts of the drugs they consume, being dependent only on the guidelines for the form of use made by health professionals. According to ANVISA's requirements, users need to have information regarding medications, and, in this case, the package insert, in addition to providing such information, brings legal specifications that guarantee this access to patients, providing clear and technical guidance through the packaging itself. Final considerations: In this way, it is concluded that the patient needs to read the medicine leaflet, as it facilitates self - medication, helping in well - being and improving the quality of life.
