Atuação profissional dos farmacêuticos no Brasil: perfil profissional e dinâmica de trabalho nas diferentes áreas de atuação
Resumo:
Introduction: The pharmaceutical profession in Brazil has undergone significant transformations, Expanding its area of activity beyond the industrial and commercial pharmaceutical sectors. Pharmaceutical Care has consolidated itself as an essential element for healthcare, while the growth of advanced aesthetics has highlighted the aesthetic pharmacist as a rising professional. Several areas of activity require, in addition to technical knowledge, the adoption of specific biosafety measures and good professional practices. Materials and methods: This study, through an integrative review, analyzed the profile and work dynamics of pharmacists in different sectors, including community pharmacies, hospitals, industry, clinical analysis, health surveillance and aesthetics. The research was conducted in electronic scientific databases, such as Google, the Public Library of Science and the Scientific Electronic Library Online, prioritizing publications between 2020 and 2024, and resulted in the selection of 20 studies. Results and discussion: The results highlight the diversity of fields of activity of the pharmacist and the need for continuous updating. Furthermore, they highlight the importance of health education and the adoption of good biosafety practices, especially in areas involving direct contact with patients and the handling of risky supplies. Final considerations: The study broadens the understanding of the multifaceted role of pharmacists and highlights the need for policies that strengthen their performance.
