O uso da própolis como agente cicatrizante e hepatoprotetor
Resumo:
Introduction: Propolis has been used since its discovery as an anti-inflammatory agent, among other purposes, in view of its beneficial effects, it emerged with the evolution of the need to initiate new studies, researchers discovered, more than 300 compounds, which in its most are in forms of polyphenols, antioxidants that fight disease and damage to the body. Propolis is derived from different parts of the plant, such as buds, flower buds and resinous exudates. This work aims to understand the main benefits of using propolis as a healing and hepatoprotective agent. For the development of this, the articles were selected from a previous reading of the abstracts in order to compare the respective points proposed, used and discussed by the author. Review: According to the literature, the application of propolis increases the rate of wound healing and re-epithelialization of diabetic wounds in rodents. Research has shown that, with a single topical propolis, there is increased wound healing in a diabetic rodent model of full-thickness skin healing. Regarding the use of propolis as a hepatoprotector, they state that, as the liver is the main organ for the metabolism of compounds, many liver diseases appear due to its exposure to toxic substances, and the oxidative stress promoted by these substances is very important in the pathophysiological mechanisms of these diseases. Discussion: Propolis has positive results as a healing agent by reducing the inflammatory response, however, its hepatoprotective power is low, due to its oral administration. Final Considerations: You can say that propolis has good results for tests as healing and hepatoprotective, but new tests must be developed to evaluate its effects, as well as pharmaceutical forms and administration routes for a better pharmacological result.

We aim to analyze the woman in a context of domestic and family violence, verifying the extent to which the violence suffered by her causes mental health problems, described by discouragement, agony and fear, as well as the determinants that lead the woman to remain in this relationship. violent. We opted for a qualitative research, observational and descriptive, whose object of study are the narratives of eight women who suffered and suffer psychological violence and who are already compromised in their mental health, with psychiatric and emotional consequences. The interviews took place with women victims of domestic and family violence, in the city of Teresina-PI, in 2018. For the analysis of the narratives, we considered two categories: the woman who suffers and lives with the aggressor and the woman victim who denounces the aggressor. We approach as a theoretical reference some reflections about the Maria da Penha Law, its objectives, effectiveness or flaws in its applicability, emphasizing the positioning of scholars. We found, with this study, that women are not always able to denounce the aggressor, given the situation of violence and fear in which she is inserted. A large portion of the interviewees claimed states of discouragement, agony and fear as the psychological and psychiatric consequences of this type of violence, causing them mental health problems.

Abordagem inicial em neonatologia na presença de erro inato do metabolismo
Resumo:
Introduction: Inborn errors of metabolismo (EIM) are inherited diseases of a single gene that result in defects in the body's biochemical pathways. Although these disorders are individually rare, collectively they are responsible for a significant portion of childhood disabilities and deaths. Review: Health care professionals still find it difficult to identify cases of these diseases early and to establish appropriate therapy. Thus, the aim of the study is to understand how the initial approach in neonatology should be when identifying an IMT in a patient. The methodology used in the development of this study was a qualitative review of the literature. Discussion: 13 references were selected, 10 of which were scientific articles, a Technical Manual from the Ministry of Health and two reports on the expanded Pezinho test. In total, eight are in Portuguese and five in English. Final considerations: The results of the research showed that, in the event of a suspicion of an EIM, the neonatal health team must follow the following protocol: perform the diagnostic test; stop catabolism by providing glucose; administer supportive care; remove toxic metabolites; consider sepsis (as this can mimic metabolic disease). Treatment approaches such as special diets, enzyme replacement therapy, substrate inhibition and organ transplantation have been widely used. It is essential, therefore, that the neonatal health team is trained and updated on innovations in this area, in order to provide the patient with the best option of health care.
